Well I've never seen anythng like this before.. :) Indian flag at the top, in the center. Its a proud moment for every indian, to see a number in the first column in the medals tally. It happened 28 years ago and its happening now :) Till yday i don't know who Abinav Bindra was, but today he became the identity of India. Its not just about the gold. Its about making millions of indians like me, feel that they are more than 7 feet taller, just for a day or two may be, but it really worth it. A sense of pride, honor, like i want to stand up and shout that we did it, we did it and we did it.
Was just thinking if i, who is just like a millions who just see the games feel like this, how would this historical incident will play in the minds of the other Indian participants who are there to represent the country. I would say, THIS would have certainly be a confidence booster to everyone out there, and everyone would start playing beyond their potential. I can already see Saina(already in quarters), Anup, Vijendra Kumar winning a medal, Sania beating Venus williams in the second round, Rathore back with another gold, Paes/Bhu & Bhu/Sania flourishing in doubles tennis, everything happening because of THIS. Im not saying all this will happen, but everyone will continue playing with that as a possibility of happening. And that is where winning starts.
Sania can't beat Venus and all are there. What's wrong is always available. But this event will push players to focus on What is possible.
